Welk leerkrachtgedrag heeft een positieve invloed op de motivatie van de leerlingen? Zijn er verbanden tussen de motivatie van de leerlingen in de les LO en plezier, betrokkenheid, prestaties tijdens de les LO enerzijds, maar evenzeer met de fysieke activiteit van de leerlingen in hun vrije tijd.

In de review werden enkel peer-reviewed studies (in het Engels geschreven) die gepubliceerd werden tussen 01-11-2002 en 15-11-2012 opgenomen. De elektronische databases ERIC en Web of Science werden als zoekkanaal gebruikt en drie vaste zoektermen namelijk self-determination theory*, physical* en education* werden in het Engels ingegeven.
